Richard Joseph Barr

March 26, 1933 – September 15, 2024

Although best known as the President and owner of The Clayton Engineering Company, and later, R. Barr Consulting, Rich was noted for serving on the Board of Directors for several associations, including The Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame, into which he was inducted in 1986.

He was involved with the SITE Improvement Association, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Missouri Association of Registered Land Surveyors, and many more. An avid golfer, Rich was a member and past president at Algonquin Golf Club.

John Stevens

John Allen Stevens, resident of Rolla, MO, and former resident of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at his home after battling kidney cancer. John was born on September 23, 1947, in Waynesville, MO to the late Floyd and Betty (Binder) Stevens.

If there was a picture in the dictionary of a joyful, loving, generous, gentle, adventurer it would be John Bergh. He passed away at 96 years of age on Wed, Dec 14, 2022, from complications due to Covid.

James “Jim” Exler passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021. Long time member and driving force for the St. Louis Chapter of the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors, he will be greatly missed.

Robert “Bob” Lee Lewis

Robert “Bob” Lee Lewis, Sr. of Wright City, MO passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023.
The Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors sent a nice memorial with details and links for funeral arrangements.

 

Craig Ruble

Craig Lee Ruble, 67, of Salem, Missouri, departed this life Friday, August 31, 2023, in Salem, Missouri. There will be a gathering of loved ones Sept. 16th, 23 at Wilson Mortuary. His sister said she did not think she was going to hire a band, but other than that, his wishes for this life affirming event will be honored.

Chris Laneman

On July 1, 2022 the surveying profession lost another monument to the profession, Christopher M. Laneman, Missouri Professional Land Surveyor #2369.  Chris had over 40 years of experience in all aspects of the land surveying profession.
